15 Years of Coutura Takes Seiko Across America
NEW YORK, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2003, inspired by the architectural, lean and muscular design of the Chevrolet Camaro, Seiko introduced the Coutura Collection. This time, a Camaro will be drawing inspiration from the Special Edition Coutura SSC697 watch, designed by seven-time NASCAR Champion and Seiko brand ambassador, Jimmie Johnson. Seiko is launching a new advertising and PR campaign featuring the Coutura-inspired Camaro in partnership with Johnson and Gas Monkey Garage in celebration of Coutura's 15th Anniversary. The specially redesigned car will feature the signature black and blue highlights that have made the SSC697 watch a best seller and will be unveiled at a unique event at Macy's Herald Square on October 4, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. The car will be on display in the heart of New York City, elevated above the Herald Square crowd along with live music and a special appearance by Johnson and Gas Monkey Garage's Richard Rawlings, who will discuss what inspiration they took from Coutura to redesign the Camaro. The excitement doesn't end in New York City however, as the #CouturaTour will stop at Macy's in Chicago at the Woodfield Mall from October 19 to October 21 and Los Angeles at the South Coast Plaza from November 2 to November 4.
Senior VP of Business Development, Eric Hofmann believes this collaboration between Jimmie Johnson, Gas Monkey Garage and Seiko "was the perfect partnership."
