Affymetrix Results Top Estimate - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Affymetrix Inc (AFFX), a provider of life science tools and molecular diagnostic products, Thursday reported third-quarter net earnings of $2.4 million or $0.03 per share compared with a loss of $4.2 million or $0.06 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.08 per share compared with earnings of $0.05 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $87 million compared with $80.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.04 per share on revenues of $84.4 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
