Amphenol Lifts Low End Of 2016 Earnings, Revenue Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - While reporting its first-quarter financial results today, Amphenol Corp. (APH) forecast financial results for the second quarter mostly above analysts' estimates and raised the lower end of its earnings and revenue outlook for fiscal 2016. Amphenol is a maker of electrical, electronic, and fiber optic connectors.

For the second quarter, the company forecast earnings in a range of $0.62 to $0.64 per share, an increase over 2015 of 7 percent to 10 percent excluding one-time items. The company also forecast sales for the quarter in a range of $1.495 billion to $1.535 billion, an increase over 2015 of 11 percent to 14 percent.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report profit per share of $0.62 for the quarter on sales of $1.50 billion. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For fiscal 2016, Amphenol now projects adjusted earnings of $2.56 to $2.62 per share, and sales in a range of $6.080 billion to $6.200 billion. Earlier, the company forecast full-year adjusted earnings of $2.54 to $2.62 per share, and sales of $6.040 billion to $6.200 billion.

Analysts expect the company to earn $2.59 per share for the year on revenues of $6.12 billion.
