Anadarko Profit Rises, Yet Misses Estimates - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) Monday reported third-quarter net income to common stock of $182 million or $0.36 per share compared with $121 million or $0.24 per share last year.
Results for the recent quarter included one-time after-tax losses of $389 million, or $0.77 per share, mainly tied to divestitures. The prior-year quarter had one-time losses of $301 million, or $0.60 per share.
Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $571 million or $1.13 per share.
On average, 32 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.16 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the quarter were $3.85 billion compared with $3.33 billion in the prior year. Analysts estimated revenues of $3.82 billion.
Anadarko said it achieved record US onshore sales volumes of about 590,000 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day during the quarter.
During the quarter, Anadarko announced a $2.64 billion transaction for the sale of a 10-percent working interest in Mozambique's Offshore Area.
