Business Objects Names Neil S. Mendelson Vice President, Product Management Oracle Veteran Joins Product Group to Continue Momentum and Drive Next Phase of Innovation
Business Objects (Nasdaq:BOBJ) (Euronext Paris ISIN code:FR0004026250 - BOB), the world's leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that Neil S. Mendelson has been appointed vice president, product management. In this position, Mendelson will oversee all product management activities, including future releases of BusinessObjects(TM) XI, the industry's most advanced and complete business intelligence platform. Mendelson will report to Herve Couturier, senior vice president, products, at Business Objects.
Mendelson brings over 25 years of product management and development experience in the enterprise software industry to Business Objects. Most recently, Mendelson served as vice president, product management, business intelligence, for Oracle Corporation, where he led the company's business intelligence product management efforts. A 17-year veteran of Oracle, Mendelson held several senior product management positions within the company and was a key driver in the 1995 launch of Oracle Warehouse, Oracle's data warehousing platform.
