Chicago HOME Magazine Increases Frequency to Bi-Monthly

CHICAGO, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago HOME magazine, a spin-off of the award-winning Chicago magazine, announced today that it will increase its publication frequency to bi-monthly starting this Spring to meet reader and advertiser demand. Additionally, the magazine named Kristin Zimmer Shea as its advertising director.

"The popularity and demand for Chicago HOME has grown by leaps and bounds -- much faster than we've anticipated," said Randy Hano, publisher of Chicago and Chicago HOME, the latter of which celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. "Making the change from quarterly to bi-monthly allows us to better address the needs of our advertisers and stay current with the ever-changing styles of Chicagoland homes, decor, furnishings and gardens."

Chicago HOME, the definitive source for city and suburban dwellers interested in home design, hits newsstands on Friday with its Winter issue, which features a peek inside the downtown condo of popular morning-show host DreX as well as a glimpse of the hot new James Hotel in River North. The magazine also boasts the most comprehensive listing of around 800 local resources from interior designers to architects to refinishers to cabinetry experts.

"Chicagoland consumers want to be able to see and touch what they hope to buy for their homes," said editor Jan Parr. Chicago HOME also named Kristin Zimmer Shea as its advertising director. Since 2003 Shea has served as an account manager with Chicago magazine where she managed national and local accounts in the real estate, finance, medical and tourism categories.
