DWS Scudder Brings an Amazon Jungle to Wall Street Area

On Feb. 8, the Promenade at South Street Seaport (at Water Street) will be transformed into an Amazon jungle – complete with exotic animals, jungle foliage, an 18’ waterfall, Brazilian band and dance troupe, celebrity DJ, and steamy temperatures – when DWS Scudder, the U.S. retail unit of Deutsche Bank’s Asset Management division, promotes its recently launched DWS Climate Change Fund. The jungle will be open to the public, including lunch-time crowds from nearby Wall Street. The event, designed to demonstrate the potential impacts of climate change and raise awareness of related investment opportunities, supports the New York leg of a nationwide road show consisting of 80+ events. An earlier event in Beverly Hills on Jan. 23 featured a 90’ ski slope built out of 25 tons of snow and included demonstrations by professional snowboarders. Philipp Hensler, CEO and Chairman, DWS Scudder Distributors; Nic Huber, Director and lead Portfolio Manager on DWS Climate Change Fund, Mark Fulton, Deutsche Bank Asset Management’s Climate Change Strategist; and Antonio Galloni, Director and Senior Product Specialist on DWS Climate Change Fund, will be available for press interviews. This fund is subject to stock market risk. Investing in foreign securities, particularly in emerging markets, presents, presents certain unique risks not associated with domestic investments, such as currency fluctuation, political and economic changes, including emerging markets and market risks. Stocks of small-cap companies involve greater risk than securities of larger, more-established companies, as they often have limited product lines, markets or financial resources and may be subject to more-erratic and more-abrupt market movements. Additionally, the fund concentrates its investments in climate change-related companies, increasing its vulnerability to industry risks and regulatory developments. All of these factors may result in greater share price volatility. Please read the prospectus for specific details regarding the fund's risk profile.
