Elizabeth Lamkin Named CEO of Hilton Head Regional Medical Center

HILTON HEAD, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2005--Tenet's Central Northeast-Southern States Region today announced that Elizabeth Lamkin will assume the post of chief executive officer at the hospital effective May 1, 2005.
Lamkin brings nearly 30 years of experience in health care management to the position. Most recently, since 2002 she was chief operating officer for North Fulton Regional Hospital, a 167-bed Tenet facility located in Roswell, Ga. Previously, she was an area manager of four acute inpatient physical rehabilitation hospitals in Phoenix, Ariz. Her experience also includes having served as vice president of managed care and of The Heart Center at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, S.C.

She served as champion of its Performance Improvement System and led the master planning process. Elizabeth's leadership and guidance to the managers and directors at North Fulton have been outstanding. She also has been very active in the community, including chairing a very successful city-wide women's conference for the American Heart Association in Atlanta."
