Google Glass Explorer Edition Goes On Sale In US

(RTTNews) - Google Inc. (GOOGL, GOOG) on Tuesday put its Glass Explorer Edition headset, with $1,500 price, on sale to anyone in the US, as long as the stock lasts.

On a blog post on Tuesday, the Internet company said it has decided to move to a more open beta for the Internet-connected Glass eyewear.

"We're still in the Explorer Program while we continue to improve our hardware and software, but starting today anyone in the US can buy the Glass Explorer Edition, as long as we have it on hand," the company noted.

Last month, Google opened sale for its still-in-beta Google Glass to the U.S. public for $1,500 for one day. It is expected that the consumer version would go on sale to the general public toward the end of 2014.

"We're ready to keep meeting new Explorers, and we can't wait to hear all your experiences and feedback to continue to make Glass even better, ahead of our wider consumer release," Google said.
