Ingenica Responds to Increased Demand for Its UniPrint Enterprise Printing Solution by Opening Its First Office in Europe Ingenica Increases European Presence: Provides Local Sales And Marketing Support For Its Distributors And Resellers
Ingenica, the innovative leader in enterprise printing solutions, today announced that in response to feedback from its partners on the fast-expanding demand for its UniPrint (www.uniprint.net) enterprise printing solution in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, it has opened its first office outside of North America.
Ingenica's European Headquarters, based in Bracknell, England will employ 14 staff members managed by European IT channel veteran, Mike McSherry. With over 15 years sales and marketing experience in the European IT space, which included heading the Citrix Sales Channel in Ireland and looking after its top distributors in the UK, McSherry is ideally qualified to work closely with Ingenica's existing list of high-profile value added distributors and resellers to identify the marketing and sales opportunities that will further develop the company's partner network and market share in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Located at Venture House, Arlington Square, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1WA, England, the new office will also serve as the "tech hub" for pre-sales and after-sales technical support for UniPrint distributors, resellers, and customers, and will be responsible for liaising with Ingenica's channel partners in the three markets to define the UniPrint marketing and business activities that will best assist distributors and resellers drive increased sales.
"By opening the new office, Ingenica is underscoring its commitment to the European, Middle Eastern, and African markets," said Mike McSherry, Regional Director EMEA, Ingenica. "The demand for the UniPrint enterprise printing solution has been growing steadily in all three markets, and this new office will not only act as a launch pad for the company's fast-expanding marketing activities, but will also enable Ingenica to provide local support and experience to help its partners maximize sales."
By replacing all manufacturers' printer drivers with a single PDF generator at the terminal server, Ingenica's UniPrint makes it easy for server-based users to print PDF documents from any location to any accessible printer, irrespective of manufacturer - not only eliminating printer compatibility issues and greatly reducing printer-related help-desk costs, but also greatly simplifying individual printer access management within increasingly-complicated Citrix MetaFrame (Nasdaq: CTXS) and Microsoft Terminal Server (Nasdaq: MSFT) thin-client environments.
Additionally, as UniPrint's PDF file is substantially smaller than other printing formats, it enables an organization to significantly reduce printer bandwidth utilization by as much as 90 percent - resulting in less work for the server, improved application performance, and faster, more efficient printing.
UniPrint's market-first "PrintPAL" functionality eliminates the security risk associated with thin-client users accidentally printing documents to another area of the building by making it simple for administrators to control individual printer access - ensuring any print jobs are always sent to the nearest available device no matter where in the building the user is working. PrintPAL enables enterprises to control the subset of printers exposed to an end user based on the client device, making it simple for administrators to utilize the PrintPAL Configuration Console to create UniPrint printer lists and default printers based on the individual user's printer requirements. Each user then has the ability to further personalize the list.
Other significant benefits of UniPrint include:
