L-3 Communications Appoints Robert McGill President of the Displays Group

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today thatRobert McGill has been appointed to the newly created position ofpresident of the Displays Group within the corporation's ProductsGroup. Mr. McGill will report to Charles J. Schafer, president andchief operating officer of L-3's Products Group. In this new role, Mr.McGill will oversee the Displays Group businesses, including DisplaySystems, Ruggedized Command & Control Solutions and Mobile-Vision,Inc., and he will support Mr. Schafer in capitalizing on the group'scapabilities to expand L-3's market presence within the Department ofDefense (DoD), homeland security and law enforcement sectors.

Mr. McGill, 44, most recently served as president of L-3's DisplaySystems division, located in Alpharetta, Georgia, a position he hasheld since 1998. He has over 20 years of aerospace industry experiencein the areas of engineering, marketing, business development andprograms.

"This new position will enable us to focus on leveraging groupsynergies as we pursue expanded business opportunities in thecommercial, military and public safety marketplaces," said Mr.Schafer. "With his demonstrated success at Display Systems, Bob has along performance record of penetrating new markets, and we lookforward to his increased contributions in growing our display businessand meeting the needs of our customer base."

Prior to joining L-3 Display Systems, Mr. McGill was director ofU.S. business development for GEC Marconi Avionics (now BAE Systems),Britain's leading defense electronics company. He holds a Bachelor ofScience degree from Dowling College and a Master of BusinessAdministration degree from Georgia State University.
