Lexington Insurance Company Forms London-Based Casualty Mid-Layer Excess Unit

Lexington Insurance Company, a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), today announced its London operation has formed a new Casualty Mid Excess unit offering $50 million in capacity. The unit will focus on non-lead layer excess casualty programs with attachment points of $25 million or greater. The new capacity will not diminish existing capacity already committed on a risk layered program from Lexington. "Lexington has been committed to the London market for over 35 years,” said Peter Bone, Senior Vice President, Lexington Insurance Company. "This new mid excess capability further exemplifies Lexington’s commitment to provide the capacity that our clients require.” The new Casualty Mid Excess unit will be headed by Mark Hill, Vice President, Lexington Insurance Company, reporting to Peter Bone.
