Macrovision Signs Content Protection Deal with Digiturk, Turkey's Largest Direct-to-Home TV Broadcaster

Macrovision's technology prevents unauthorised copying of premiumcontent on VCRs, DVD recorders, digital video recorders (DVRs) andPC/Media Centres. Macrovision's technology can also be used to permitsecure storage and movement of premium content movies to DVRs,PC/Media Centres and portable media players to provide more flexibleviewing options for consumers.

Digiturk is Turkey's largest provider of DTH television services.Boasting around 868,000 subscribers at the end of 2004, the serviceoffers 128 television, radio and interactive channels in varyingpackages - and includes access to pay-per-view films, sports anderotic content, all of which can be now protected from unauthorisedrecording thanks to Macrovision's technology.
