Kids aged 8 – 18 learn how to show others that they can be trusted and relied upon.
Games, activities, and workshops prompt discussions about why dependability is so important, and how it is an essential component of trust.
Exercises include how employees show that they are dependable in the workplace, and how kids can show they can be counted on in their own lives.
Corporations and businesses can also demonstrate the ways in which they are always there for their customers.
In January 2017, the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day Foundation will launch a new website that features:
A new set of planning toolkits (both free and paid)
Dependability activity guides with exercises for all ages
Merchandise and event décor at a variety of price points
Instructions on how to participate in our nationwide, "Count on Me" social media campaign under the hashtag #Dependability2017
"We have undertaken huge efforts to make planning for the day both fun and easy for the human resources and marketing professionals typically responsible for creating this day within their companies," explains Carolyn McKeucen, Executive Director of the foundation. "We are providing templates, and automating some of the planning elements for those that register with us—which will save a tremendous amount of time, while ensuring success for planners and participants."
