Nokia Expands Nokia for Business Ecosystem, Encourages Collaboration for Seamless Delivery of Mobility Solutions to Businesses
AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, December 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Nokia adds operators and independent software vendors (ISVs) to its business mobility channel ecosystem, opening up new opportunities for this growing community of partners to work together to deliver mobility solutions to businesses. Nokia also introduces new incentive programs designed to encourage collaboration between partners and to support their investments in broadening their technology expertise and expanding their customer base.
"Nokia has created an ecosystem where various partner organizations can come together to deliver complete solutions that address specific business challenges," said David Petts, senior vice president, Sales, Marketing & Services, Enterprise Solutions, Nokia. "By creating linkages between the companies that we work with and offering incentives that encourage collaboration, we are bringing the concept of 'work together, smarter' to life in the community. We believe this is a significant driver for the continued adoption of mobility solutions that deliver real business benefit and transform the way business gets done."
Channel incentives were previewed in October by attendees at the Nokia for Business Global Channel Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, which included representatives from 23 operators and more than 400 Nokia for Business Channel Program participants from around the world.
The Nokia for Business Operator Program is designed to drive engagement and sell-through to business customers by offering operators value added mobility solutions. Initially, there are three program tracks for operators: Mobility, Voice and Applications. Each track is complete with a total channel offer that includes go-to-market programs, incentives, training and support.
For ISVs, Nokia extends its program to include Forum Nokia members that develop mobile applications for businesses. By including Forum Nokia developers in the business mobility ecosystem, Nokia helps accelerate the delivery of complete business solutions to its customers, while also extending Forum Nokia providers' go-to-market reach and promoting value-added applications to Nokia for Business channel program participants for enhanced revenue and margins. The ISV program will initially offer three tracks -Voice, Security and Mobility - aligning with the three tracks of the IT channel program.
First launched earlier this year with programs for IT channel partners, the Nokia for Business Channel Program currently encompasses more than 450 fully accredited partners. Expanding the program to include operators and ISVs in addition to the IT channel, brings greater opportunity for collaboration across the ecosystem to deliver solutions and business value to a broader range of business customers.
Additional details about the new programs are available at http://www.nokiaforbusiness.com/channel. Enrollment is currently open and the programs are expected to go into full effect in January 2008.
