Piedmont Natural Gas Q3 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Piedmont Natural Gas Co. Inc. (PNY) Thursday said third-quarter loss narrowed to $2.3 million or $0.03 per share from $4.6 million or $0.06 per share in the same period last year.

On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.08 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues improved slightly to $162.94 million from $161.12 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $181.49 million.

Looking ahead, the company has reaffirmed its full-year earnings outlook of $1.67 to $1.77 per share, with earnings expected to be near the upper end of the range. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $1.73 per share.
