Standex International Corp Reports 7% Rise In Q1 Profit

(RTTNews) - Standex International Corp (SXI) revealed earnings for its first quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $17.2 million, or $1.34 per share. This was higher than $16.1 million, or $1.25 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.24 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.8% to $198.40 million. This was down from $202.03 million last year.
