Toshiba to Showcase microUSB Adaptor Supporting TransferJet(TM) Close Wireless Transfer Technology at MWC 2013

Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO:6502) today announced that it will showcase a microUSB adaptor module supporting the TransferJet^TM close proximity wireless technology standard in the TransferJet^TM Consortium Booth (Hall 7/Booth 7C64) at the Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC 2013), to be held from February 25 to 28 in Barcelona, Spain.

Data transfer using TransferJet^TM communication can be implemented in Android^TM devices^[1] with a micro USB port, such as smartphones and tablets, using the microUSB adaptor module and a newly developed app for Android^TM devices. At MWC 2013, Toshiba will demonstrate data exchanges between a smartphone and a tablet.

[1] Certain Android devices may not support TransferJet™.
