COLOMBIA: Government Presents Actions In Hidroituango
(RTTNews) - A team led by the Colombian Minister of Mines and Energy, German Arce, presented a detailed report on the status of the Hidroituango project to the transition team of the elected President Ivan Duque. According to Arce, this meeting focused on the impact that the project might have on the medium and long-term power market.
Juan Manuel Santos's administration showed the status of the intervention, the risk conditions that have been presented and the critical path to follow in the project to be able to determine when it could be in operation.
On monitoring the project, Arce said there is "the need to install a monitoring center 24 hours a day, which allows keeping the alert levels permanently calibrated to downstream populations."
The minister said that there are still populations that are in red alert since the risk condition has not been completely eliminated.
