New Zealand Manufacturing Activity Volume +2.0% In Q4
(RTTNews) - Overall manufacturing activity volume in New Zealand was up a seasonally adjusted 2.0 percent on quarter in the fourth quarter of 2018, Statistics New said on Friday - following the upwardly revised 1.1 percent fall in Q3 (originally -1.6 percent).
The main industry movements were meat and dairy products, up 4.0 percent; petroleum and coal products, up 4.1 percent; and chemical, polymer, and rubber products, down 3.2 percent.
By value, manufacturing activity was down 0.5 percent following a downwardly revised 1.8 percent increase in the three months prior (originally 2.0 percent).
