Swiss Employment Increases In Q1
(RTTNews) - Switzerland's employment increased in the first quarter largely driven by the job creation in the tertiary sector, the Federal Statistical Office said Tuesday.
Employment increased to 4.22 million in the first quarter from 4.19 million in the same period of last year. But it fell from 4.23 million reported in the fourth quarter.
The increase was once again seen in the tertiary sector, up 1 percent. Nonetheless, the number of job vacancies fell 6 percent and the employment outlook indicator declined 1.5 percent.
