Actuate Updates ActuateOne: Release 11 Service Pack 1 Available Now

The release of SP1 follows the remarkable adoption of ActuateOne by customers and partners worldwide making it the most rapidly adopted release in Actuate’s history. This momentum has accelerated the ActuateOne vision of redefining the BI category by moving away from a set of disparate tools to a suite of integrated capabilities – powered by one server, based on a single BIRT design and providing a unified experience for every end user.

Since being announced, ActuateOne, along with release 11 has generated significant new business including downloads by over 200 companies with thousands of users. Release 11 SP1 includes more than 40 major enhancements, extending the value of the Actuate BIRT product suite for better data access, charting, output format, dashboarding and analytic capabilities. Key features include:

• ActuateOne for e.Reports – a data connector for e.Report customers to create BIRT-based, rich BI and information applications by leveraging e.Report documents as data sources
• Improved charting - including support for radar charts that enable multiple series to be rendered allowing for easy comparison of related data
• Advanced Function Print (AFP) export –export from BIRT documents to the compact AFP file format to facilitate large scale printing and archival of BIRT-based documents
• BIRT 360 dashboard print support - to enable business users to print snapshots of their dashboards and collaborate with other users
• New JSAPI classes - to enable seamless integration of BIRT 360 dashboards into existing web applications
• Quick Report Wizard - to make it even easier for business users to design new reports
• Enhanced ease and administration of BIRT iServer – with encyclopedia tools that assist in the migration of encyclopedia metadata from the standard PostgreSQL database to another PostgreSQL database or a supported third-party relational database management system
