Acxiom Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Acxiom Corp. (ACXM) Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $15.1 million, compared to $14.5 million in the same period last year. On a per-share basis, earnings were $0.19, flat with last year.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.19 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues rose 2 percent to $277.87 million from $273.10 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $273.63 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2014, the company now expect earnings per share attributable to Acxiom stockholders to be as much as $0.82, an increase from the previous guidance of roughly flat compared to the prior-year period. The company expects revenue for the fiscal year to be down slightly compared to $1.099 billion in fiscal 2013.

Analysts now expect earnings of $0.76 per share on revenues of $1.10 billion.
