Alcatel-Lucent Q1 Revenues Down 7% - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - French telecom equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) reported a 7 percent decline in revenues for the first quarter from last year. The company reported the first-quarter revenues in the context of its combination with Finnish network equipment maker Nokia Corp. (NOK).
The company's first-quarter revenues were 3.02 billion euros, down 7 percent from 3.24 billion euros in the year-ago period.
Total Networks revenue declined 8 percent from the year-ago quarter to 2.77 billion euros. Within Networks, growth in IP Networks and Applications was more than offset by the decline in Ultra Broadband Networks.
Ultra Broadband Networks revenues were 1.59 billion euros in the quarter, a 16 percent decline year-over-year both at actual and constant currencies. This decline was primarily driven by Mobile Networks.
IP Networks and Applications revenues were 1.18 billion euros, growing 5 percent year-over-year at actual rates and 6 percent at constant currencies.
