C.R. Bard Inc Reveals 14% Advance In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - C.R. Bard Inc (BCR) revealed earnings for its third quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $199.5 million, or $2.64 per share. This was higher than $174.7 million, or $2.28 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.8% to $941.90 million. This was up from $865.70 million last year.
