Chemed Corp. Reveals 7% Retreat In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Chemed Corp. (CHE) reported a profit for third quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line dropped to $28.64 million, or $1.73 per share. This was lower than $30.93 million, or $1.78 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.82 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.7% to $392.61 million. This was up from $386.23 million last year.
