Cooper Tire & Rubber Q2 Profit Rises; Sales Up 5% Excl. CCT - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Cooper Tire & Rubber Company (CTB) reported second-quarter net income to company of $59.6 million or $1.03 per share, compared to $38.2 million or $0.59 per share, prior year.
On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.69 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Sales decreased to $751.78 million from $888.69 million, last year. The company said the sales decline was fully attributable to the absence of CCT, the company's former joint venture in China. Cooper sold its interest in the joint venture during the fourth quarter of 2014. Excluding the impact of CCT, second quarter 2015 sales rose 5 percent. Analysts expected revenue of $726.28 million for the quarter.
