Cynosure Q2 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Cynosure, Inc. (CYNO) reported net income for the second quarter of $5.4 million or $0.24 per share, compared to $4.6 million or $0.20 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding acquisition costs, non-cash unrealized foreign exchange measurement gains, and amortization of intangibles, adjusted net income for the second quarter was $6.7 million or $0.30 per share, compared to $7.0 million or $0.31 per share in the prior year quarter.

Revenue for the second quarter rose 15% to $83.69 million from $72.57 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.29 per share on revenue of $82.71 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
