Delta Lloyd: Leon van Riet nominated to Executive Board

The Supervisory Board of DELTA LLOYD plans to appoint Leon van Riet (51) as member of the Executive Board. The Supervisory Board will announce the planned appointment of Leon van Riet to the shareholders at the General Meeting of Shareholders on 19 May 2016, which will be followed by the formal appointment. Leon van Riet is to succeed Onno Verstegen, who resigned as member of the Executive Board on 1 February 2016. The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) have approved the planned appointment. Leon van Riet will start his duties on 1 March 2016.

Leon van Riet joined Delta Lloyd in 1999 and has been Managing Director of Delta Lloyd Leven, the largest operational division within Delta Lloyd, since October 2010. Before 2010, Leon held the role of CIO Delta Lloyd Group and he was the Director of Group IT.

In conformity with the guidelines of the Dutch Corporate Governance Code, the appointment of Leon van Riet will be for a period of 4 years and is subject to the compensation and benefits package for members of Delta Lloyd's Executive Board.
