UMS AG Reports on Financial Statements at April 30, 2018

Hamburg, July 13, 2018. UMS United Medical Systems International AG i.L. (UMS, ISIN DE 0005493654 / WKN 549365) has reported on the financial statements for the fiscal year from May 1, 2017 to April 30, 2018. The results of ordinary business activities amounted to minus EUR 75k, following EUR 5k in the previous year. Earnings per share were minus 2 Cent per share following 0 Cent per share in fiscal year 2016 / 2017. Liquidity amounted to EUR 2.7 million or 63 Cent per share at balance sheet date following 1.8 million or 41 Cent per share in previous year. This primarily resulted from the special VAT audit that was resolved in company's favour. Equity now amounts to EUR 2.3 million or 55 Cent per share (previous year 2.4 million EUR or 57 Cent per share).

Critical for the liquidation going forward is finally the proceeding against the Company's previous tax adviser, Ebner Stolz Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater, Rechtsanwälte. After the Federal Supreme Court rejected the complaint for failure to grant leave to appeal, the company is in negotiation about the amount of indemnification to pay by the opponent party. The company hopes to successfully finalize the negotiation soon.

UMS International AG i.L. is a corporation listed in the Prime Standard segment of Deutsche Börse AG. The Company sold its interest in United Medical Systems (DE), Inc. and thus essentially all its assets on August 14, 2014. The shareholders agreed to this sale at the special meeting held on September 25, 2014. The agreement was consummated on November 11, 2014. Now that the assets have been sold, the purpose of the Company is to manage its own assets. In addition, the shareholders resolved to dissolve the company as of April 30, 2015.
