eBay Inc. Announces 1% Rise In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews) - eBay Inc. (EBAY) revealed a profit for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $514 million, or $0.48 per share. This was higher than $509 million, or $0.45 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.48 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.6% to $2.41 billion. This was up from $2.22 billion last year.
