Economist GMAT Tutor Awards $25,000 MBA Scholarship to 28-year-old business-school aspirant
NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Economist GMAT Tutor has announced the winner of its semi-annual Brightest Minds MBA Scholarship Contest.
The goal of the contest is to find one of the world's "Brightest Minds" who plans to attend business school, and help fund his or her education. The winner, Angela Hsing, is a finance professional who moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA ten years ago and is currently working as a CPA. She beat more than 3,000 other contest entrants by scoring highest on Economist GMAT Tutor's GMAT simulation exam and writing the most compelling tie-breaker essay, beating 77 other top scorers.
Ms Hsing hopes to use her MBA to empower women in the workplace. She says, "I am told that the MBA experience is full of lessons and connections I will carry for a lifetime. I want to make an impact on gender equality by empowering women in the workplace and helping women gain more prominent roles in business."
