El Paso Electric Names Mary Kipp President - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - El Paso Electric Co. (EE) said that Mary Kipp, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, has been appointed as President of the company.

Kipp has been with El Paso Electric since December 2007, and has held various positions and has overseen several departments at the Company, including regulatory and rates, human resources, external affairs, public relations, and environmental, health and safety. Kipp has also served as the Company's Vice President, Legal and Chief Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel and Director of FERC Compliance. Prior to joining the Company, Kipp was a senior attorney in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Office of Enforcement in Washington, DC.

The company also stated that Thomas Shockley will remain CEO and will continue to lead the Company's commitment to identify local talent and leadership through the end of his contract in December 2015. Shockley has served as CEO since January 2012 and is proactively engaging in succession planning and leadership cultivation.
