EnviroFinance Group, LLC Hires Markus Niebanck As Vice President -- Environmental Management

DENVER, Aug. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- EnviroFinance Group, LLC (EFG) today announced that Markus Niebanck  has joined the firm as Vice President – Environmental Management.  Mr. Niebanck, a professional geologist in the state of California, will work out of EFG's new East Bay office, opening in August 2013.  He will assist EFG project teams with site screening and due diligence, as well as manage cleanups to support EFG's Brownfield redevelopment projects.

Mr. Niebanck currently serves as Chairman of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control Brownfield Revitalization Advisory Group (BRAG).  Prior to joining EFG, Mr. Niebanck was Founder and Principal of Amicus Strategic Environmental Consulting in Oakland, California.  He created the firm to provide specialty environmental due diligence and advisory services to public agencies, private developers and non-profit urban infill housing/public benefit organizations.  Before Amicus, Mr. Niebanck founded and managed Clearwater Group, Inc., a full service environmental consulting firm also based in Oakland.  Mr. Niebanck's professional experience is augmented by his voluntary service on California regulatory agency task forces and advisory boards, as well as through his community service as a board member of local non-profit organizations, including City Slicker Farms, an urban agriculture non-profit working to redevelop West Oakland Brownfield property as a community asset.

Mr. Niebanck's environmental expertise includes technical problem solving for urban infill and conservation projects, due diligence for transactions and redevelopment, and expert services for dispute resolution assignments.  He brings these skills, as well as his strong relationships with regulatory agencies, to continue EFG's record of achieving successful Brownfield cleanups and closures.  Mr. Niebanck strengthens EFG's presence and resources in California to help the company screen and evaluate transactions quickly and put Brownfield properties back into productive use.
