Heartland Express Profit Declines 18% In Q1
(RTTNews) - Heartland Express (HTLD) announced earnings for first quarter that declined from last year.
The company said its bottom line fell to $14.38 million, or $0.17 per share. This was lower than $17.61 million, or $0.20 per share, in last year's first quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 13.2% to $162.79 million. This was down from $187.52 million last year.
