Hollysys Wins $51.47 Mln Worth High-speed Rail ATP Contracts

(RTTNews) - Hollysys Automation Technologies, Ltd. (HOLI), a China-based provider of automation and control technologies and applications, announced Monday that it signed two sizable contracts to provide the Automatic Train Protection or ATP equipment and system for the 200-250km/h and 300-350km/h high-speed trains. The contract size for each is 211.17 million Chinese Yuan or $34.36 million, and 105.17 million yuan or 17.11 million, respectively.

The company said the delivery of the products will be in several batches and completed by the early of 2014.

Recall, the on-board signaling equipment ATP works together with the ground-based signaling equipment Train Control Center or TCC and Radio Block Center or RBC, as the critical control elements in the high-speed railway signaling systems. This ensures the safety and reliability of the high-speed railway operation.

Going ahead, Hollysys said it will leverage its strong R&D capability, solid execution, advanced software solution and reliable products operation, to drive the company to be a leading rail signaling system technology and product provider.
