Kia Motors America July Sales Up 6.7% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Kia Motors America, a unit of Kia Motors Corp. (KIMTF.PK) Friday reported July sales of 52,309 units, up 6.7% from 49,004 units in the same period last year.

Since arriving in 2009, U.S. sales of the iconic Soul have exceeded the 500,000 unit mark, and the wildly popular urban passenger vehicle recently topped the Compact MPV segment in the J.D. Power APEAL Study for the third straight year.

Soul urban passenger vehicle recorded monthly sales of 14,709 units, up from 10,160 units sold last year.

Rio sales increased to 3,791 units from 3,021 units last year, while Forte sales dropped to 5,566 units from 7,277 units last year.

The Sportage sales rose to 4,412 units from 2,523 units in the same month last year.
