Kohl's The Latest On Holiday Hiring Spree

(RTTNews) - Department store operator Kohl's Corp. (KSS), Monday announced that it is hiring over 69,000 employees for the holiday season, which is the busiest time of the year for all retailers.

It is the same amount of holiday workers that the retailer hired during last Christmas season. Kohl's has more than 1,100 stores in 49 states.

Kohl will place the seasonal workers at its distribution and e-commerce fulfillment centers as well as in its credit operations. The departments store operator said it started hiring in August and expects most jobs to be filled by the middle of November.

Several other major companies have already started hiring for the key holiday shopping season. Target last week said it will hire 70,000 workers for the season, while UPS said it will hire about 95,000.
