Lexmark Says 98% Of ReadSoft Shareholders Accepts Tender Offer Of SEK57.00/sh

(RTTNews) - Lexmark International, Inc. (LXK) Monday said almost 98 percent of ReadSoft's shareholders have accepted its revised tender offer of Swedish Kroner 57.00 per share, as of Sept. 4. The company will have to pay a total consideration of nearly $251 million to buy ReadSoft.

Lexmark currently holds more than 90 percent of the shares in ReadSoft and it plans to request a compulsory purchase of the outstanding minority shares of the Swedish company

Settlement for the shares tendered before the Sept. 4 expiration date of Lexmark's tender offer is expected to begin around Sept. 11.
