Marketing Executive and Entrepreneur Sinan Kanatsiz Receives Knighthood as the American Delegation of Savoy Orders Announces 2018 Honors List
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Delegation of Savoy Orders announces that Sinan Kanatsiz, founder and CEO of marketing communications firm KCOMM, has received a Knighthood in the 2018 Honors list of individuals conferred by His Royal Highness Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy, Grand Master of the historic Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy. The honor was conferred during the installation and promotion ceremony of knights and dames in the Order of Merit of Savoy and the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus.
Kanatsiz was honored in Rome on September 30, 2018, for his philanthropic and humanitarian works. Most notably Kanatsiz has supported various children's charities and causes, in addition to recently the Notte Gala for Savoy at the Montage Resort in April of 2018, whose proceeds benefitted Stuart House of Los Angeles, an internationally recognized, model program created by UCLA and others, to serve the special needs of sexually abused children and their families.
In 1998, while studying for a master's degree at Chapman University, Kanatsiz followed his entrepreneurial spirit and formed his first company, KCOMM, a public relations and internet marketing agency. The company quickly evolved into a full-service marketing, government affairs and strategic events firm known for its expertise and results-oriented approach. The firm has developed campaigns for over 1,300 prominent companies, educational institutions, government agencies and non-profit organizations from around the world.
In addition to mentoring high school and college students, Kanatsiz is often called to speak about entrepreneurship and the internet to a wide range of professional audiences on topics including social media, search engine optimization, email marketing, modernizing government and the future of the internet.
He has held engagements at several universities, including USC, Chapman University, Cal State Fullerton, Pepperdine, UC Irvine and Cal Tech.
Kanatsiz was also the founder of Generation NeXt in 2006, a network of young business and community leaders committed to making a difference. Additionally, he founded the Internet Marketing Association in 1998, a group that has grown to over 1,000,000 professional members worldwide. Kanatsiz also launched the International Executive Council (IEC) in 2017, a dues-based leadership group based in Southern California which has over 80 notable members.
Kanatsiz holds a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership with a certificate in Human Resources from Chapman University. He was designated Alumnus of the Year by Chapman in 2000. He received the Community College of California Alumnus of the Year Award in 2005 and was named to the Hall of Fame for Santa Ana College in 2006. He has also been recipient of the "40 Under 40" award and as Entrepreneur of the Year by OC Metro Magazine. He and his family reside in San Clemente, California.
Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy is the son of the late King Umberto II of Italy. The Savoy Orders are ancient orders of knighthood which date back to the Crusades, have traditionally been devoted to charitable works, and recognize individuals for their contributions in public service, medicine, the arts, music, government, business and philanthropy.
The American Delegation through its charitable arm, the American Foundation of Savoy Orders, contributes to humanitarian, hospitaller and charitable projects and initiatives across North America and abroad, particularly in healthcare and hospice care, disaster relief, education programs and children's causes.
