Microsemi Corp. Q1 Income Advances

(RTTNews) - Microsemi Corp. (MSCC) released earnings for its first quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $120.1 million, or $1.01 per share. This was up from $99.8 million, or $0.86 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.01 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.6% to $468.7 million. This was up from $435.5 million last year.
