Microsoft Leads Software Sector Lower
(RTTNews) - With Microsoft (MSFT) leading the way lower, software stocks are seeing considerable weakness in afternoon trading on Friday. The Dow Jones Software Index is down by 3.8 percent after hitting its lowest levels in well over a month.
Software giant Microsoft is currently down by 7.3 percent after reporting weaker than expected fiscal third quarter results after the close of trading on Thursday.
Along with Microsoft, Check Point Software (CHKP), Adobe Systems (ADBE), and Nuance Communications (NUAN) and are also posting notable losses on the day.
