Northwest Natural Gas Q4 Profit Climbs 4%

(RTTNews) - Northwest Natural Gas (NWN) announced earnings for its fourth quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $29.71 million, or $1.08 per share. This was up from $28.47 million, or $1.04 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.03 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.0% to $230.72 million. This was down from $240.28 million last year.
