Nu Skin Enterprises Boosts Q2, FY13 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NUS) said Tuesday that it now expects second quarter results to be significantly above its prior guidance, reflecting the strong momentum of its business. The company also raised its revenue and earnings outlook for the full year 2013.

The company said it now expects second quarter revenue to be about $680 million, with estimated earnings of about $1.20 per share. Previously, the company expected revenue of $570 million to $580 million and earnings of $0.91 to $0.95 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently expect the company to earn $0.96 per share on revenue of $579.99 million for the second quarter.

"Our second-quarter results reflect the strong momentum of our business," stated Truman Hunt, president and chief executive officer. "After a record 2012 that included impressive ageLOC product launches in the second quarter, we continue to generate healthy gains throughout our global business, particularly in the Greater China, North Asia and Americas regions."

For the full year 2013, the company now expects revenue of $2.83 to $2.86 billion and earnings of $4.85 to $5.00 per share. Previously, the company expected revenue of $2.51 billion to $2.54 billion and earnings of $4.18 to $4.30 per share.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently expect the company to earn $4.29 per share on revenue of $2.54 billion for the full year 2013.

Nu Skin will release its full second quarter financial results prior to the market opening on August 1.

Nu Skin shares closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $66.57, up $2.13 or 3.31%, and gained an additional $7.39 or 11.10% in after hours trading.
