Nu Skin Subsidiary Recalls AgeLOC TR90 Protein Boost Due To Undeclared Milk

(RTTNews) - NSE Products, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NUS), is recalling all ageLOC TR90 Protein Boost as it contains milk in the formula, which is not declared on the label.

Though no illnesses have been reported to date, some instances of swollen lips, throat irritation, hives and other symptoms that may be indicative of an allergic reaction have been reported.

According to the FDA, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk have the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction, if they take this product. However, there is no safety issue with this product for people who are not allergic to milk.

The recall was initiated after Nu Skin discovered that the flavoring used in the product contains buttermilk, which constitutes approximately 0.1 percent of the overall product formulation.

The recalled product was sold in plastic canisters with batch numbers AZ30751, AZ32051, AZ00661, AZ27161 and AZ34161, with expiration dates between Nov. 2017 and Dec. 2018.

NUS closed Monday's regular trading session at $51.61.
