Sonic Corp Profit Rises 29% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Sonic Corp (SONC) revealed earnings for its second quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $9.02 million, or $0.18 per share. This was higher than $7.00 million, or $0.13 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.5% to $133.16 million. This was up from $126.22 million last year.
