Surplus trucks, cars and heavy equipment being sold by Alagasco

ALABASTER, Ala., Dec. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Alagasco is selling more than 80 vehicles and pieces of heavy equipment in an online public auction. The company has retained Pearce & Associates to manage the online auction, which will end December 28.

"Our firm has been selling surplus assets for Alagasco for a number of years, and this will be largest number of vehicles that we have handled for them at one time," said Chip Pearce, president of the auction company. "This will be a great opportunity for small business owners and individuals who are looking for a low mileage and well maintained car or truck," he said.

"Alagasco has an excellent program for maintaining their fleet vehicles at regular intervals.  Most of the vehicles in this auction are in great physical and mechanical condition and have many years of life left in them. Contractors will want to consider some of the utility and service type vehicles as well as machinery such as backhoes and trenchers being offered in this sale," he said.

Vehicles being sold include short bed pickups, utility bed trucks, utility vans, 3/4 ton and 1 ton pickups, Honda Civics, Chevrolet Impalas, large diesel service trucks, and dumptrucks. Most of the vehicles run on standard gasoline, while others are hybrids that can run on compressed natural gas and standard gasoline. A few of the Honda Civics were built from the factory as CNG fuel only.  The auction also includes office furniture.

Bidding is under way at AuctionByPearce.com and will end on December 28th.  The vehicles and equipment are available for inspection at the Pearce Auction Center, 720 Fulton Springs Road, Alabaster, Alabama. Individuals seeking more information may visit the web site or call 205-664-4300.
