Swiss Stocks End Week On A Down Note
(RTTNews) - Swiss stocks inched lower Friday but performed a bit better than other European markets ahead of Sunday bank ECB bank stress test results.
The Swiss Market Index was down 0.16 percent to 8,532.09, with SGS trimming strong gains from the previous session.
SGS lost 1.2 percent while Transocean has slipped 1.8 percent.
Economically-sensitive luxury good makers Richemont and Swatch were lower.
Mikron Holding said it expects lower EBIT earnings for 2014 compared to last year. The stock fell 5.2 percent.
Burckhardt Compression said executive board member Hans Keist had decided to leave the company. Shares slipped 1 percent.
UBS has put its Stamford, Connecticut office building on the market, raising speculation the bank with close operations there. UBS shares eased 0.45 percent.
