Time Warner Cable & Al Jazeera America Enter Carriage Agreement - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Time Warner Cable and Al Jazeera America have reached an agreement to bring Al Jazeera America to Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks customers' lineups. The channel would be introduced on digital basic in Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks markets, including New York City, Los Angeles and Dallas, over the next six months.

"We said in January that we would consider Al Jazeera America. Now that the channel is live, we think that it would be of value to our customers and are pleased to make it available," said Melinda Witmer, Executive Vice President, Chief Video and Content Officer for Time Warner Cable.

Al Jazeera America's deal with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks would make the channel available to around 55 million homes.
