Weight Watchers Raises FY17 Earnings Guidance - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Weight Watchers International, Inc. (WTW) announced the company is raising its full year fiscal 2017 earnings guidance to between $1.40 and $1.50 per fully diluted share versus prior guidance of $1.30 to $1.40.

First-quarter earnings per share was $0.16 compared to a loss of $0.17 in the prior year period. Revenues were $329.1 million. On a constant currency basis, revenues increased 8.7% versus the prior year period.

End of Period Subscribers in first-quarter 2017 were up 16.0% versus the prior year period, driven by growth in all major geographic markets. End of Period Meeting Subscribers were up 10.7% and End of Period Online Subscribers were up 20.1% versus the prior year period.
